You can use the service if your child was born either in the East Tallinn Central Hospital or in the Private Hospital Fertilitas and there is an electronic birth certificate in the Population Register and you are married to each other. Find the form for registrating the child’s birth from the State Portal and study it.

The official drafts the birth registration during the registration of the birth and the birth certificate will also be issued immediately. Single birth benefit for the child by Tallinn can be applied for when the child is registered at the Tallinn Vital Statistics Department or later on via the State Portal or to receive the benefit for the local social welfare department, the application should be submitted within six months after the child's birth. To apply for the State Birth Benefit we recommend you to contact the Tallinn Pension Department, Pronksi 12, phone 16106.
