Price reductions in the unified public transportation ticket system of Tallinn since 01.01.2011
The public transportation of the unified ticket system of Tallinn is a public transportation service that is provided in the city of Tallinn and that can be used with a unified document asserting the right to use the transportation services.
The public transportation vehicles belonging to the unified ticket system of Tallinn have been marked with the logo of the unified ticket system of Tallinn.
The right to use public transportation for free
The right to use public transportation for free regardless of their place of residence has been granted to:
- any preschoolers
- any disabled child and the person accompanying them
- any profoundly disabled person aged 16 or above and the person accompanying them
- any profoundly or severely visually impaired person and the person accompanying them
- any person aged 65 and above
- any child admitted to a social welfare institution
- any child deprived of parental care
- any passenger accompanying a child who is younger than 3 years
- any repressed person or a person having equal rights to free transportation
- any employee of a transportation company providing public transportation services in Tallinn under a service provision contract
- any official of the Tallinn Municipal Police wearing a uniform
- any conscript wearing the uniform of the Defence Forces
- any person who participated in the eliminating of the results of the explosion of the nuclear power plant in Chernobyl
- any on-duty maintenance employee serving in any city district government of Tallinn, an institution governed by a city district government of Tallinn or the Tallinn Social and Healthcare Board
The right to use public transportation for free reserved solely for the residents of Tallinn has been granted to:
15. any child of a family with 3 and more children whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
16. any police official wearing a uniform whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
Price reductions on public transportation
The right to purchase a discount ticket, a discount 1-hour ticket or a discount 30-day ticket on the electric trains or the right to use discount tickets on the Tallinn-Harju County lines has been granted to:
- students
- university students
- pensioners
- persons aged 16 and above who have a severe or moderate disability
- parents of 3 or more children
The right to use the discount card reserved for students has been granted to:
- students whose official place of residence is not Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
- students whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
The right to use public transportation for reduced prices reserved solely for the residents of Tallinn has been granted to:
- university students whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
- pensioners whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
- persons aged 16 and above who have a severe or moderate disability and whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
- parents of 3 and more children whose official place of residence is Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register
NB: Students, pensioners, persons aged 16 and above who have a severe or moderate disability and parents of 3 and more children whose official place of residence is not Tallinn according to the records of the Population Register do not have the right to use the discount card reserved for the residents of Tallinn.
