Sale Tax

A retailer whose activity area is city of Tallinn, is registered in the Register of Economic Activities and whose activities include retail, food and beverage or services is obliged to pay sale tax. Sale tax is 1% of the sales price of goods and services

Where to start
1. Enter the website of e-tax board using your ID-card, contract or bank links
2. Enter as a business client and select sale tax
3. Chose the declaration form and fill it in (you have to calculate the numbers)
4. Save and confirm the declaration

The Register will notify you if the declaration has not been sent
 
Payment
The taxable person is obliged to pay electronically the sale tax by the 20th day of the next month of the quarter. The information on bank accounts and numbers you can find here: http://www.emta.ee/index.php?id=1680.

Personal identification
The declaration has to be signed by the taxable person, his legal representative or authorised person. If the declaration is signed by the authorised person, the authorisation has to be passed to the sale tax administrator
 
What to do with the form
Declaration can be delivered to the service points of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board. More information about service points from the website of the Tax and Customs Board
 
Application registration
Tax and Customs Board will make a mark about the received date on declaration form
 
Payment
The taxable person is obliged to pay electronically the sale tax by the 20th day of the next month of the quarter. The information on bank accounts and numbers you can find here: http://www.emta.ee/index.php?id=1680.
