Kindergarten groups shall be formed between 1 May and 15 August; however, if there are free spots, children can join the children’s institution all year round.

Municipal kindergartens in Tallinn accept children aged one and a half to seven years of age if the child’s and his/her parent(s)’ place of residence in the population register is the city of Tallinn.

Citizens of Tallinn may select any kindergarten for their child, if there are free spots. Children from outside Tallinn are accepted in Tallinn kindergartens based on an agreement concluded between the child’s rural municipality or town government and the Education Department.

1. Select the type of applying:

You can apply for a kindergarten place in a Tallinn municipal kindergarten in the self-service environment.

The parent can submit up to three children’s institution options and select the time when the place is required.

Kindergarten options can be changed, but making a new choice means erasing some of the previous ones and submitting a new application for a kindergarten.

Application reception confirmation

The head of the child care institution will respond to your e-mail.

Result

The child has a place in the pre-school child care institution.
