The aim of rehabilitation service for children with behavioural disorders is to guarantee safe environment for the children with behavioural disorders with compulsory school attendance who need assistance due to the deficiencies incurred in guardianship and upbringing and to contribute to the resocialization of the child and decrease in antisocial and dependent behaviour.
The child is entitled to receive service if he/she has become seven years old before 1 October of the current year and has been entered to the list of the general education school, up to the acquisition of the basic education or becoming 17 years old. If the child acquiring basic education in the full-time studies or in another study form due to medical reasons becomes 18 years old, he/she is entitled to receive the service up to the end of the academic year. The following is offered to the child within the frames of the service:1. individual consultation and psychological assistance;2. motivation and teaching of coping skills;3. communication skills and assistance in restoration or creating of social network;4. appropriate conditions and support for studies;5. leisure time activities supporting development. The child receives service as the sanction of the juvenile committee in the meaning of the Juvenile Sanctions Act and/or upon the knowing of the social welfare department of the city district government of the residence of the child (hereinafter the social welfare department). The case plan of the child will be prepared under the guidance of the social welfare department where the aims necessary for the child’s coping and becoming independent and the activities needed for their achievement will be specified. The cycle for the provision of service starts from the beginning of the academic year and lasts up to 30 June or the end of the academic year. Pursuant to passing the service cycle the child remains at the post-consultation the period of which will be specified in the case and rehabilitation plan prepared for the child.The child can be involved in the service up to solving the problem, but no more than three academic years. The provision of service is terminated before the end of the academic year when the child copes independently in his/her daily growth environment or provided the service is no more meeting the needs of the child. The service is provided for twenty four hours a day. The legal representative of the child and service provider conclude a contract for the receipt of the service.
