Subsistence benefit

Subsistence benefit is applied for according to the terms provided in § 22 of Social Welfare Act.To apply for the subsistence benefit, one should contact the social welfare department of residence. Benefit should be applied for each month by the 20th date at the latest. The income of all family members is taken into account in payment of benefit less residential expenses; 130 euros a month should remain on hand per the first family member and minors. Limit of income poverty allowance for each additional adult member of the family is 104 euros. The subsistence benefit compensates the amount missing from the family’s subsistence level. Where to start

Write an application to apply for subsistence benefit. Add the document that confirms the right to use the living quarters (document confirming right of ownership or the rental contract), the bill that needs to be paid during the current month, the electricity bill and gas bill and documentation confirming the income of all persons who, according to the Population register, live in the same living quarters.
