Occasional transport service for disabled persons

The aim of the occasional transport service for disabled persons is to guarantee the access to the rehabilitation institution for a person at least 3 years of age with profound or severe physical, visual or mental disability who cannot independently use public transport due to impairment. The extent of service for one client in a calendar year is up to ten trips to a destination located on the administrative territory of Tallinn and up to 2 trips to a destination located on the administrative territory of another local government.

To submit an application:

Where to start

To apply for the service, one must submit the application to the social welfare department of one’s residence, along with the resolution of the degree of disability and of additional expenses by the Social Insurance Board. The duration of service per one client in case of one trip from the place of residence to the destination and vice versa should not exceed 1 hour and 15 minutes. The employee of the city district government has the right to ask, if necessary, other additional documents. For trip to workplace, application should be submitted to Tallinn Social Welfare and Health Care Department.

What to do when the result is unsatisfactory:

Submit a written application to the Tallinn City's Board of Disabled People.
