Grants for the creation of social jobs
The Tallinn City Enterprise Board provides grants for the creation of social jobs in order to stimulate the creation of social jobs for unemployed people living in Tallinn and to develop social employment in Tallinn in connection with the economic recession. Providing the grants will result in companies creating social jobs for the unemployed in order to prevent long-term unemployment and improve the employment situation. A grant applicant must meet the following conditions:
Grants are available to cover the salaries of workers hired for
social jobs that have been, or are being created, by the
applicant, which includes the following: The grant limit per worker per month is the minimum wage (currently 278.02 EUR) established by the Government of the Republic, to which social tax and unemployment tax are added. Grants covers up to 2/3 of the eligible costs, while the minimum self-financing is 1/3 of the eligible costs. Grants are available an ongoing basis. The decision to approve or reject a grant application is made by the evaluation committee based on the number of social jobs being created, the salary level and workload, feasibility of the application, and location of the applicant. The evaluation committee shall approve or reject a proper completed application within thirty workdays of the receipt of the application by the Enterprise Board. Grant recipients are required to submit reports regarding the previous month on the 12th of each month, based on the procedure specified in the contract.
