Amendment of birth entry

Come to Pärnu mnt 67, Tallinn. Have the source document for the birth registration amendment with you: the adoption judgement, the judgement concerning paternal filiation establishment or the judgement verifying incorrectness of the entry or the marriage certificate. To write the joint patrnal filiation application, both the mother and the father have to be present.

Granting of consent:

• If the child is given the father’s surname, a pre-school child must give his or her consent on the spot;
• If the child is given father’s surname with the paternal filiation application, consent is required from the child if he or she is ten years old or older. If the surname is unchanged, the consent for paternal filiation is required from a child who is 14 years old or older.

Have an identity document with you.
