A city planning app has been developed for involving the people of Tallinn more efficiently. The app is used for collecting suggestions and comments about the pilot areas of the project. The general purpose of the app is to notify people of new developments in the city and to encourage them to make suggestions to get the people involved with new developments from the planning phase.
The consortium of the project, which involves research institutions – the University of Turu and Nordregio – in addition to the cities, is developing a city planning-related cooperation model involving all parties (landowners, developers, planners, residents of the city) for the integration of the so-called brownfield in the city space.
The free AvaLinn app can be used in iOS as well as in Android devices.
