Family based work

Psychological counselling for risk families and practical help for families.

The service includes:
• counselling (problem wording and solution seeking, finding resources for the family, developing the social network, increasing self-confidence and social skills);
• practical family assistance (helping to create necessary conditions for raising children and caring for them, help and counselling concerning hygiene, provisioning, budgetary and household issues, with childcare and solving other practical problems)
The service is provided by both a social worker and a family helper in cooperation.
The initiation, termination and monitoring of the case takes place in the district's social welfare department.

    What to do when the result is unsatisfactory:

    The district elder solves disputes related to the service provision. It is possible to contact the City Government or the county governor if one does not agree with the district elder's administrative legislation.
