Alarm button service

The social monitoring service, i.e. the personal alarm button service, is provided for those elderly and disabled people who, due to their health condition, may find themselves in a helpless situation when home alone.

The objective of the service is to increase the feeling of security of
the elderly and disabled people by using the mobile alarm button service.

The social monitoring service enables a call for help to be placed in situations where the client is unable to move and open the door for helpers, for example:

· sudden need for medical assistance, plus inability to move;

· so-called unexpected need for personal help (falling down, temporary loss of mobility, being trapped in a room);

· situations requiring rescue service (such as fire, explosion).

When calling for help using the alarm button, the client pays for the call to the operator based on the plan and the cost of text calls made for the maintenance of the device. The City of Tallinn pays for the installation and maintenance of the devices.
