If you have no heating
CODE OF CONDUCT
- There should be at least one electrically independent heating appliance in the home that can be used safely indoors, such as a conventional or gas fireplace, wood-burning stove or oven. A generator-powered electric heater, heat blower, heat pump, etc. is also suitable.
- In the case of central heating, find out whether the district heating system in the area will continue to work in the event of a power cut.
- If you use gas for heating, ask your service provider or housing association how an uninterrupted gas supply is guaranteed in your area.
- Check the instructions for your gas appliances, such as a cooker or boiler, to see if and how they can be used with a LPG cylinder. However, don't forget that only a qualified professional can connect the cylinder.
- If you heat with gas, get a specialist to make safe connections and add a small LPG cylinder to your home supply.
- Make sure you have enough heating fuel for at least a week.
