General Principles of Foreign Relations in Tallinn

Globalisation and the accompanying competition between cities requires an active city foreign policy and deepening of Tallinn’s international relations. Tallinn is an internationally renowned European city. In order to preserve and develop this standing, we need consistent action and an international presence. The objective of Tallinn as the capital of the Republic of Estonia is to support the foreign policy of the Republic of Estonia to the extent of the city’s capabilities and to ensure and develop the city’s standing among other European cities and regions through active bilateral and multilateral relations.
