Pupil counseling

Pupil counseling

Referrals of students to the counseling commission can be initiated by a:

  • Parent/guardian
  • Teacher, speech therapist or psychologist with the consent of the parent/guardian
 
Referrals to the counseling commission are decided by the academic council.


The following documents are to be submittedto the counseling commission:

  • Parent’s application
  • The academic council’s decision on referring students to the counseling commission
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Observational record 
  • Characterization
  • Medical record
  • Extract from academic record
  • Report card including grades received during the quarter
  • Letter from private physician, in the event that it has been proposed to transfer the student to an inpatient care school for children with severe somatic illnesses
  • Letter from neurologist, in the event that it has been proposed to transfer the student to a physically handicapped class
  • Diagnosis from a speech therapist together with a characterization of the child’s speech, if the pupil has undergone speech therapy
  • Letter from ear doctor along with an audiogram, if it has been proposed that the child be transferred to a hearing impaired class
  • Letter from an eye doctor, if it has been proposed that the child be transferred to a visually impaired class
  • Letter from a psychiatrist, if it is proposed that the pupil be assigned an academic program or be transferred to a leveling group, or a class for children with physical, speech, sensory or mental handicaps or psychic disorders.
