The Kristiine district council approved the candidacy of the new district mayor
An extraordinary meeting of the Kristiine district council was held yesterday, where the deputy mayor of Tallinn, Aleksei Jašin, introduced the candidacy of Kristiine's new district mayor, Renata Lukk, to members of the district council.
Renata Lukk answered the questions of the members of the district council, and her candidacy was approved by the district council with ten votes in favor and two against, there were no abstentions.Kristiine district council chairman Kristo Enn Vaga said that Renata Lukk is a very good match for Kristiine district, she believes in education and innovation. „I believe that she will develop Kristiine further and I am glad that the district council overwhelmingly supported her,“ added Vaga.
Renata Lukk (born 1994) has obtained a master's degree in European languages and cultures from the University of Tartu, studied additionally in Lithuania at both Vilnius and Vytautas Magnus universities, is a qualified teacher, worked as a project manager in the field of internal security and is currently an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna. From November 2021, Renata Lukk is a member of the political party Eesti 200, from June 2023 she is a member of the board of Estonia 200 Tallinn region.
