Russian Cultural Centre

Russian Cultural Centre

The Russian Cultural Centre is located at Mere pst 5.

In 1954, a building with Neo-Classical columns was built over the ruins left by the war and the Naval Officers’ House was established.
In 1997, the house was designated as an architectural monument by a statute of the Estonian Ministry of Culture. In 2001, the Russian Cultural Centre was given to the city of Tallinn and it became a municipal location. In 2006, thorough renovations began which lasted until 2009. The renovations restored the original glory of the building.

The Russian Cultural Centre is brimming with activity from morning to night. There are rehearsals, concerts and plays, lectures being held and different studios operating.

The Russian Cultural Centre is home to several creative communities – drama, choir, choreography, music and art studios. The visitors to the cultural centre, both children and adults, actively participate in all the events – the festivals, reviews, competitions and concerts. The stage of the Russian Cultural Centre has had performers from here and abroad give shows, concerts featuring different styles of music, international competitions and festivals.
