Tallinn City Museum
The Tallinn City Museum is both a museum in a medieval merchant house introducing the history of Tallinn as well as an umbrella organisation uniting several thematic museums in Tallinn.

The City Museum’s exhibitions on the five floors at Vene 17 introduce the history of Tallinn from the end of prehistoric times until the Estonian Restoration of Independence. The history of the building that was restored to be a museum in 1963-65 dates back to the 14th century. The current look of the building is from 1997-2000. The centre for the organisation that unites the affiliates of the Tallinn City Museum are in the same building that houses the exhibition rooms and storage.
