Tallinn Literary Centre

Tallinn Literary Centre

The Tallinn Literary Centre was created in 2017 to showcase the heritage of the most famous Estonian authors A. H. Tammsaare and Eduard Vilde. The centre is made up of the Tammsaare and Vilde Museums and actively participates in Tallinn’s literary life.

The centre has set a goal for itself to map the city’s literary heritage (memorial plaques, monuments). Also, our missions include studying Tallinn’s important authors and maintaining records of them, the depiction of Tallinn in Estonian (and foreign) literature, developing international relationships, etc.

The dream of the literary centre is for things in Tallinn related to literature to be more noticeable and for the literary heritage to be well maintained.
