Merivälja Park
The park is located in Merivälja district between Kesktee (Central Road), Salu (Grove), Heki (Hedge) and Võra (Top of a tree) Streets and is 3,2 ha in size. The design was created by Ene Aurik of AS Eesti Projekt on the order of Tallinn Communal Department. The park was reconstructed in 2003. The park boasts several ash‑surfaced walking paths, a pond, lime‑stone staircases, illumination. The lower part of the park is equipped with a children’s playground on a sandy base. The upper part of the park has a volleyball court and health sport equipment. The walking paths are equipped with benches and trash bins. Many ash‑trees of the upper park area have unfortunately been affected by a mortal decease. The tall greenery includes larches, firs, ash‑trees, maples, horse‑chestnuts, bird cherries, crack‑willows „Bullata”. The bush species include snowberries, hazel‑tress, lilacs.
