Bicycle repair stations have been installed near the entrances of Tallinn’s waste stations, available for use 24/7.

Rein Kalle, the head of Tallinn Waste Centre, mentioned that waste management originally started as a necessity to protect human health. "Last year, Tallinn was the European Green Capital, and next year we will proudly hold the title of European Capital of Sport. The installation of bicycle repair stations is a small step towards promoting both the circular economy and mobility goals."

According to Tallinn's waste plan, waste stations are being transformed into circular economy centers, which will include both reuse spaces and repair workshops. Therefore, Tallinn Waste Centre has installed bicycle repair stations at the gates of the Paljassaare, Rahumäe, Pärnamäe, and Pääsküla waste stations.
