The Days of National Cultures begin this week
From Saturday, September 14 to September 24, Tallinn will celebrate the 10th edition of the Days of National Cultures, celebrating the cultural diversity of the city.
According to Deputy Mayor Kaarel Oja, the Days of National Cultures serve as an essential gathering point for the various communities living in the city. Equally important, the event highlights the richness and diversity of the many cultures and traditions represented in Tallinn. "Tallinn is a diverse city, and that is our strength. The Days of National Cultures, which this year is also one of the key events of the Year of Cultural Richness, provide a wonderful opportunity to appreciate and explore this diversity more closely," noted Oja.
The event will officially open on September 14 with a traditional ethnographic market at Town Hall Square. The same day, there will be a family day at the The People's Museum of Tallinn and a Ukrainian Borscht Day. At Kino Sõprus the screening of the film Slovo House. An Unfinished Novel will take place and language cafés will be open in libraries. Until September 24, it is possible to participate in various exhibitions, concerts, and national cuisine workshops, as well as lectures, cultural evenings, and events for children and youth.
One of the standout events will be Venezuela Day on Saturday, September 21, held at the Tallinna Rahvaülikool building in Pelgulinn. The program will include a Spanish language workshop, a Venezuelan games workshop, and a Fiesta Venezolana with traditional food and music.

The Days of National Cultures were established to bring together Tallinn’s national minorities and showcase the rich and diverse cultures of the city’s residents.
