European Parliament elections begin today in Estonia

The week of European Parliament elections has begun today. Advance and electronic voting will take place from June 3 to June 8, with Election Day on Sunday, June 9.

Tallinn City Secretary and Chairman of the Election Committee Priit Lello reminded voters that they can cast their vote at any polling station across Estonia, as the elections are conducted in a single nationwide electoral district. "In addition to advance and electronic voting, home voting is available for those who cannot go to a polling station on Election Day due to health reasons. This is not a convenience service but an additional opportunity to ensure that no one misses their civic duty," emphasized Lello.

In Tallinn, voting can be done at 17 polling stations from June 3 to June 6, and at all 76 polling stations open in the city from June 7 to June 9. A list of all candidates is available on the website https://ep2024.valimised.ee.

Electronic voting will be held from June 3 to June 8 on the website www.valimised.ee. To vote electronically, voters need a computer with an internet connection and either an ID card or a mobile ID with PIN codes. There will be no electronic voting on Election Day, June 9.

If a voter cannot vote at a polling station due to health reasons or other compelling circumstances, they can request home voting. Home voting will be conducted from June 7 to June 9 between 9:00 and 20:00. To request home voting, voters must submit an application to their local district administration via email or phone by 14:00 on June 9.
