Kopli Volunteer Fire Brigade invites community to open house day

Kopli Volunteer Fire Brigade invites community to open house day

The newly established Kopli Volunteer Fire Brigade is inviting everyone to its Community and Open House Day on June 9.

Raoul Raidna, the chief of the Kopli Volunteer Fire Brigade, emphasizes that, in addition to helping those in need, the brigade plays a crucial role in enhancing community safety awareness. “Every person can do a lot to ensure their own safety and that of their loved ones. It is also important to know where to seek help when needed. We invite everyone to visit us and get to know us and our activities.”

During the event, visitors will be introduced to the Kopli Volunteer Fire Brigade building, the work of the firefighters, fire trucks, and equipment. Guests will have the opportunity to practice using a fire extinguisher and a hose. Information on home fire safety, crisis preparedness, civil protection, and water safety will be shared. There will also be an introduction to becoming a volunteer firefighter.

The event will take place on June 9 from 12:00 to 16:00 at Ankru 12, in the Põhja-Tallinn district.

The Kopli Volunteer Fire Brigade began its operations on May 31. It provides basic rescue capabilities, including a 24/7 response team with smoke diving capability, ready to respond within 60 seconds, just like professional firefighters.
