This autumn, Tallinn is planning several updates to the public transport network to improve connections between city districts and offer more convenient transfer options. Before final decisions are made, residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback at discussion meetings or via the website (link below).

The first discussion meeting will take place on September 9 in Pirita. Feedback can be submitted online until September 20. The collected feedback will be analyzed by district, and summarized responses to the key questions and suggestions will be published on the route change website. The planned changes are expected to be implemented during the autumn school break, starting from October 21.

Deputy Mayor Kristjan Järvan emphasized that these are proposals and discussions, not final decisions. "Last summer, bus route changes came as a complete surprise, and no one had the chance to provide input. Now, we are discussing all proposed changes with the public in advance. The Tallinn Transport Department has based its modernization proposals on data, but feedback from residents is also important. If any plan requires further analysis or consideration of alternatives, we will do so. No decision will be forced through," said the Deputy Mayor. "Tallinn's public transport network needs to be updated, as over the years, people’s workplaces and homes have changed, along with their expectations for the network. The goal is to offer better public transport services with the existing resources."
