Next week, local elections take place
Local elections 2021 voting takes place between October 11-17, both online and in person. Estonian citizens, EU citizens and permanent residents who are at least 16 years old have the right to vote.
- To make sure that you make a well-thought-through voting choice, it is recommended that you take a look at the 4th episode of "Tallinn Talks" podcast, which is devoted to the subject of upcoming elections. In this episode, an interview with Tõnis Saarts from Tallinn University about the Estonian party system takes place. Tallinn City Secretary Priit Lello is also interviewed, who is responsible for the organization of the local elections in Tallinn.
- For further information, an informative briefing on October 13th at 15:00 is also organized by the Estonian State Electoral Office. Electoral Office specialists will explain the election process and comment on the procedural and technical features the Estonian election management has introduced in local elections this year.
