In the Maardu service area, both private and business customers will be charged a new water service rate of €4.03 per cubic meter (excluding VAT). Maardu has a separate pricing zone because Tallinna Vesi operates the services but does not own the infrastructure there.

The price adjustment is due to a legal obligation to harmonize prices for private and business consumers and to ensure necessary investments that maintain the continuity of the water infrastructure.

Tallinn and Saue will continue to have among the most affordable water service prices in Estonia. On average, water services account for about 1% of a household’s net income in Estonia, while in Tallinn, this cost remains below 0.5%.
