Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day: foresight, inspiration, and a glimpse into the future
On October 1, the annual Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day, themed "Forethought," will focus on the importance of strategic thinking and future-oriented approaches across various aspects of entrepreneurship. A total of 53 events, including seminars and workshops, will take place at the Radisson Collection Hotel Conference Center and other locations throughout the city. Registration is open.
Margot Roose, Tallinn’s Deputy Mayor of Entrepreneurship, highlighted how this 21st edition of Entrepreneurship Day offers an inspiring and forward-looking range of topics. “Valuing the work of entrepreneurs is crucial, and I believe the city plays a key role in fostering a supportive business environment,” said Roose.
Tallinn's Director of Entrepreneurship Kalle Killar noted that while the number of active businesses in the city is indeed increasing, it is essential to continuously develop and support entrepreneurship for the emergence and implementation of ambitious business ideas. "The most popular seminars at the entrepreneurship day fill up quickly, so it's advisable to register early for any event that interests you," Killar added.
The seminars and workshops at Entrepreneurship Day provide an overview of key business topics, such as strategy and business plan creation, the importance of service design, AI application opportunities, and cybersecurity measures. Additionally, there will be seminars on financial and tax issues. In terms of team management, the focus will be on talent management, future skills, motivation, engagement, and recruitment. Marketing will cover digital marketing and the role of social media in business.
The Entrepreneurship Day program is developed in close collaboration with partners, including Tallinn University, TalTech, The Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (Mainor), the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Technopol Science and Business Park, the Estonian Food Industry Association, the Estonian Institute for Future Studies, the Tallinn Business Incubator, Enterprise Estonia, the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, the Statistics Estonia, the Patent Office, and others.
Participation in the 21st Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day is free, but pre-registration is required on the event's website at ettevotluspaev.tallinn.ee/programm. Most events will take place at the Radisson Collection Hotel Conference Center on Rävala puiestee 3, with additional seminars at SEB Bank’s Tornimäe building, tours at the Town Hall Pharmacy and Tallinn University labs, and online webinars.
On October 2, outstanding Tallinn entrepreneurs and business developers will be recognized, with the Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards being presented.
