Tallinn residents are reminded to check residence details in the population register before 3 February

Residents should update their residence data in the Population Register before 3 February in order to participate in the Parliament elections in Tallinn.

"In order to vote in the constituency of their hometown, residents of Tallinn who have moved to the city or to another district in recent years should update their residence data," said Priit Lello, Tallinn Election Committee Chairman and City Secretary. "To receive election information by email, it is advised to enter an up-to-date e-mail address in the register."

Residents can check residence details and report new place of residence at https://www.rahvastikuregister.ee/   by logging in with an ID card. If necessary, it is also possible to contact the nearest district administration or the Tallinn Family Register Office to correct  residence details in Tallinn.

The electoral rolls for the Parliament elections are compiled on the basis of the population register as of 3 February. Correct data in the Population Register is also important for voters to receive the election information leaflet, which is sent out at the end of February. The purpose of the leaflet is to provide general information on the right to vote, as well as the location of polling stations. For those who do not have an e-mail address, a paper version of the leaflet will be sent.

As of 20 February, anyone can check whether they are on the electoral roll for the forthcoming elections and where and when they can vote by logging in with an ID card at https://www.rahvastikuregister.ee/personal/election.

Constituency number 1 is made up of the districts of Haabersti, Põhja-Tallinn and Kristiine, Constituency number 2 is made up of the districts of Kesklinna, Lasnamäe and Pirita and Constituency number 3 is made up of the districts of Mustamäe and Nõmme.

In Tallinn, a total of 80 polling stations will be open to voters, plus one polling station serving people in hospitals, nursing homes and other similar locations. Information on polling stations in Tallinn is available at https://www.tallinn.ee/et/valimised
