Tallinn Vital Statistics Department introduces wedding anniversary celebration service
The Tallinn Vital Statistics Department is launching a new service, allowing couples to celebrate their wedding anniversaries in a more special way starting next year.
“Couples have expressed interest in renewing their wedding vows and marking their special day. To support and value families, we are introducing this service at the Tallinn Vital Statistics Department,” said Deputy Mayor Karl Sander Kase.
The new service will be available starting January. Couples can invite a vital statistics official to their chosen venue or use the facilities of the Tallinn Vital Statistics Department for their celebration. Couples will also receive a commemorative certificate to mark the occasion.
The service has a dedicated fee structure, which includes a pre-event consultation, guidance, explanations about the ceremony’s flow, and preparation of a custom script for the celebration. Pricing may vary depending on the event’s date and location.
To book the service, couples must have a legally registered marriage. The ceremony is purely symbolic, with emotional value, and does not carry any legal implications.
