Old City Harbour tramline to open next week

The Old City Harbour tramline will officially open on Friday, November 29, at 12:00, with a ceremony held between Viru Keskus and the Tallink Hotel. The opening event will feature a high-wire act by world-renowned slackliner Jaan Roose and a performance by the Tallinn Police Orchestra. At approximately 12:50, a test ride will be conducted to Old City Harbour, where more surprises await. Regular tram services on the new tracks will begin on Sunday, December 1.

Temporary changes to public transport routes and traffic arrangements in city centre

Starting Monday, June 10, construction work on water and sewer lines will begin on F. R. Kreutzwaldi Street, leading to traffic restrictions. At the same time, two-way traffic for both cars and public transport will be restored on Gonsiori Street, which has been closed since March last year due to the construction of the Old City Harbour tramway. Additionally, from June 7, the southern branch of Ahtri Street will be opened to traffic, and traffic in the harbour area will be fully restored.

Trams to Kopli suspended this weekend

From the evening of Friday, May 3, at 20.00 until the end of Sunday, May 5, tram service between Kopli and the city centre will be temporarily suspended. During this period, tram lines 1, 2, and 5 will be replaced by shuttle bus line 52 on the segment between Kopli and Mere puiestee. This suspension is due to construction work at the temporary Linnahall stop and the tram turnaround loop at the Skoone Bastion stadium.
