You are entitled to a pension supplement if all of the following criteria are met:

• you are a beneficiary of old-age pension or incapacity pension or an adult beneficiary of national pension or survivor’s pension or you have a certified partial capacity for work or complete incapacity according to the Work Ability Allowance Act,
• you are a resident of Tallinn at least since 1 January of the calendar year of filing your application for pension supplement,
• you have filed an application for pension supplement.

NB! The pension supplement is not paid for the first calendar year when you were awarded your old-age pension or incapacity pension, or an adult’s national pension or survivor’s pension, or when your partial capacity for work or complete incapacity was certified.

Application – you need to file a one-off application for the pension supplement. We advise filing the application during the calendar year when you were awarded your old-age pension or incapacity pension, or an adult’s national pension or survivor’s pension, or when your partial capacity for work or complete incapacity was certified. This is to ensure that the pension supplement is paid in the month preceding your birth month in the calendar year that follows the filing of the application.

Awarding – the supplement will be awarded in the month preceding your birth month in the calendar year that follows the year when you were awarded your old-age pension or incapacity pension, or an adult’s national pension or survivor’s pension, or when your partial capacity for work or complete incapacity was certified, provided that all eligibility criteria are met.

Payment – the supplement is paid once per calendar year in the month preceding your birth month. In the year of awarding the supplement it will be paid to you in the month preceding your birth month provided that the application is filed by the 15th day of that month. If the application is filed later the supplement will be paid within 30 days of filing the application.

Additional pension consists of two parts: the financial contribution of EUR 200 and discounts.
