Pursuant to a document, issued in the Republic of Estonia

 

disabled child and his/her accompanying person

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if Tallinn is the permanent resident of the person concerned, according to population register records or
  • A document evidencing disability, issued by Social Security Authority;
  • Validation is not required of a person, accompanying a disabled person, if the disabled person is carrying a document evidencing disability, issued by Social Security Authority

passengers aged 16 and over with profound disabilities and persons accompanying them

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if Tallinn is the permanent resident of the person concerned, according to population register records or
  • ID-card, if the person’s information is available from district government database or
  • A document evidencing disability, issued by Social Security Authority;
  • Validation is not required of a person, accompanying a disabled person, if the disabled person is carrying a document evidencing disability, issued by Social Security Authority

passengers with severe or profound visual disabilities and individuals accompanying these persons

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if Tallinn is the permanent resident of the person concerned, according to population register records or
  • ID-card, if the person’s information is available from district government database or
  • a document evidencing disability, issued by Social Security Authority;
  • validation is not required of a person, accompanying a disabled person, if the disabled person is carrying a document evidencing disability, issued by Social Security Authority

passengers aged 65 and over

(registered resident of Estonia)

  • validated personalised Smartcard or
  • Personal identity document, issued in the Republic of Estonia

passengers classified as or equated to victims of repression

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if Tallinn is the permanent resident of the person concerned, according to population register records or
  • certificate of a victim of repression

Employee of transport company, providing passenger carriage services in public transport system of Tallinn under a service contract

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if the person’s records are available from the database of Tallinn Transport Department or
  • ID-card, if the person’s records are available from the database of Tallinn Transport Department

Employee of Municipal Police Board of Tallinn

validated personalised Smartcard, if the person’s records are available from the database of Tallinn Transport Department

Conscripts, wearing the uniform of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Estonia

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if the person’s records are available from the database of Tallinn Transport Department or
  • ID-card, if the person’s records are available from the database of Tallinn Transport Department or
  • Certificate form an army unit, proving military service

Passengers who contributed to clean-up operations at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if Tallinn is the permanent resident of the person concerned, according to population register records or
  • certificate of a person who contributed to clean-up operations at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant

Social service workers of Tallinn District Government, institution administrated by District Government or an institution administrated by Social and Health Care Department of Tallinn while performing his/her duties

  • validated personalised Smartcard, if the person’s information is available from district government database or
  • ID-card, if the person’s information is available from district government database

Police officer of the Republic of Estonia in a uniform

certificate of employment

Pupil/student

  • validated personalised Smartcard (if included in EEIS database);
  • Student card issued in the Republic of Estonia, that complies with a standard that supports RFID technology (if included in EEIS database).

Residents of Tallinn

* Students and persons residing permanently in Tallinn, according to the population register records, will be required to validate their travel by swiping the Green Card each time they board a public transport vehicle. Personalised Smartcard will only be valid with a personal identity document. Person’s permanent residence records in the population register will be checked once per month. When you have registered an address outside Tallinn as your permanent residence, you no linger can use your travel benefits in Tallinn.

* If you have registered Tallinn as your permanent residence only after the personalisation of your Green Card, you must repeat the personalisation procedure to obtain the right of free travel, available to residents of Tallinn.
