About us
Tallinn Circular Economy Center is a municipal institution that manages waste stations and develops modern circularity centres in Tallinn.
"Tallinn has the most beautiful, smart, and environmentally friendly circularity centres."
Our key activities:
- Waste collection and management – We operate five waste stations and six hazardous waste collection points, while also organising citywide collection campaigns.
- Reuse and repair services – We manage four repair maker spaces (sewing, upholstery, metal, and woodwork) and five reuse spaces at key waste stations.
- Circular economy innovation – We promote sustainable practices, support environmental projects, and develop new circularity centres in Tallinn.
To enhance reuse and repair services, we are transforming existing waste stations into circularity centres and developing new ones. Two large-scale circularity centres are planned in Lasnamäe and Haabersti, offering expanded services.
Our recently opened Lilleküla Circularity Centre (Mustjõe 40) provides maker spaces for sewing and upholstery, a dedicated reuse room, and a 24/7 bike repair station, alongside improved waste collection services.
We are actively involved in innovation and environmental projects to advance the circular economy and promote sustainable practices across the city. Here is an example: Tallinn bus shelter "an experimental fragment" built from reclaimed materials.
