Bicycle storage shed grant
Apartment associations can apply for a grant to build a bicycle storage shed next to the building. The grant can cover up to 70% of the cost of construction work. The maximum grant for one apartment building is 10,000 euros.

Conditions
· The applicant has built a bicycle and scooter storage shed in the yard of the apartment building, installed bicycle or scooter charging devices in the yard or the storage shed and/or tidied up the yard bordering the shed using a water-permeable coating.
· The applicant has made adjustments to a room in the apartment building to store bicycles and scooters and/or installed charging devices.
The application must be submitted within six months of completing the construction
works and after the applicant has paid for the costs.
To start the works mentioned in the application, the applicant must have a building permit,
consent from the relevant institution or a building notification, if required according to the
Building Code or Tallinn’s legislation.
In 2024, the budget for this grant is 315,000 euros
Where to start
To submit your application, log in to the Tallinn project and activity grant information system using an ID card or mobile ID.
Click on ‘Project and activity grants’ and then ‘Submit new application’. Then select ‘Activity grants’ and choose ‘Apartment associations’.
The application must include the following:
· Contract of construction work
· Owner supervision contract (if one exists)
· Instrument of delivery and receipt, signed by the representatives of the applicant and the contractor
· Bills for the finished construction work and documents that prove their payment
· Photos of the finished bicycle storage shed (both inside and outside)
· A notice of use or authorisation of use (if legislation requires it)
· A layout coordinated with the district government if the applicant plans to build the storage shed on a lot or part of a lot that belongs to Tallinn
Personal identification
The applicant’s right of representation must be:
- · marked on the B-card in the Business Register;
- proven with an authorisation (instructions for applying for an authorisation) or a statement of authority (only necessary if a legal person is being represented by multiple board members, see an example).
Result
The application will be processed within 30 days of its submission. If the application is accepted, the grant will be paid to the applicant’s bank account within 21 days.
