Social security (Alarm button) service

Social security (Alarm button) service

The purpose of the alarm button is to increase the sense of security of an elderly person living alone or an adult with special needs as well as of their family members and ensure their access to help.

The necessary devices are installed in the dwelling of the assisted person in order to ensure assistance in an unexpected situation, such as falling down or getting trapped indoors and being unable to call for help or open the door for a helpers.

The principles of the alarm button service:

  •       The device installed in the home of an elderly person living alone or an adult with special needs detects the situation when an accident has happened to the person and they are not able to call for help by themselves.
  •     The devices collect data from the environment of the person, detecting unusual movement, temperature (unheated or overheated living space) and moisture in the air so that the person does not need to notify anyone themselves when in need of assistance.
  •        The device works on battery power for at least a year and sends information through the built-in system. No internet connection or phone is necessary to use it.
  •           If the device detects a situation of danger, it will notify the contact person or the service provider. The devices don’t take photographs, film or record sound.
  •       The system enables family members and contact persons to access data sent by the software to be assured of their loved one being alright. It is especially helpful if the elderly person does not answer the phone.

In order to use the service, the service provider must be given the keys to the dwelling so that if necessary, the service provider can assist the person inside without breaking the door.
