Supporting Title Competition Medallists

Supporting medallists in adult title competitions

The aim is to acknowledge the high achievements of athletes from Tallinn at the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships.

Athletes who placed high in title competitions for non-Olympic sports will be acknowledged on the following conditions: 
1. more than ten athletes participated in the title competition; 
2. the sport receives the sports activity grant (the field is active in arranging organised sporting activities for young people through the sports activity grant); 
3. points 1 and 2 do not apply for athletes from Tallinn who have won a World Championship title. 


Medals won at title competitions for Olympic sports: 
Olympic Games: 
 gold €30,000 (athlete/team €20,000 and coach €10,000) 
 silver €22,500 (athlete/team €15,000 and coach €7,500) 
 bronze €15,000 (athlete/team €10,000 and coach €5,000) 


World Championships
 gold €9,000 (athlete/team €6,000 and coach €3,000) 
 silver €6,000 (athlete/team €4,200 and coach €1,800) 
 bronze €4,000 (athlete/team €2,800 and coach €1,200) 


European Championships 
 gold €6,000 (athlete/team €4,000 and coach €2,000) 
 silver €4,000 (athlete/team €2,800 and coach €1,200) 
 bronze €2,500 (athlete/team €1,800 and coach €700) 

Medals won at title competitions for non-Olympic sports: 
World Championships 
 gold €4,000 (athlete/team €2,800 and coach €1,200) 
 silver €3,000 (athlete/team €2,000 and coach €1,000) 
 bronze €2,000 (athlete/team €1,400 and coach €600) 

European Championships 
 gold €3,000 (athlete/team €2,000 and coach €1,000) 
 silver €2,000 (athlete/team €1,400 and coach €600) 
 bronze €1,200 (athlete/team €800 and coach €400)

Medals won at title competitions for disabled people (with 10 or more participants): 
Paralympic Games: 
 gold €5,000 (athlete/team €3,500 and coach €1,500) 
 silver €3,000 (athlete/team €2,000 and coach €1,000) 
 bronze €2,000 (athlete/team €1,200 and coach €800)

World Championships (IPC):
 gold €3,000 (athlete/team €2,000 and coach €1,000) 
 silver €2,000 (athlete/team €1,200 and coach €800) 
 bronze €1,200 (athlete/team €800 and coach €400)

European Championships (IPC): 
 gold €2,000 (athlete/team €1,200 and coach €800)
 silver €1,250 (athlete/team €750 and coach €500) 
 bronze €800 (athlete/team €500 and coach €300) 


The City of Tallinn does not provide support to athletes who have achieved high places in international IBSA, INAS, IWAS and DSISO competitions.

To apply for the grant, have your association submit an application. Whether the grant is awarded and the final amount of the grant will be decided by the Tallinn City Government depending on the availability of funds in the budget.
