City of Tallinn collaborates with TrackDeep and Droon.ee at drone-focused seminar
Today, a drone-themed seminar took place at the Tallinn City Presentation Centre, where the companies TrackDeep and Droon.ee introduced their solutions and cooperation opportunities with the city.
Drone traffic is rapidly increasing across Europe, bringing with it a growing need for effective solutions to ensure safe airspace in urban environments. CityDOME, developed by TrackDeep, is a smart and scalable drone detection system that has been tested in Tallinn over the past year as part of the Tallinnovation program – identifying more than 3,000 flights.
Andy Viikmaa, CEO of TrackDeep, provided an overview of the project results, future directions, and cooperation with key stakeholders such as the City of Tallinn, the police, the airport, and others.
Eduard Vainu, Development Manager at Droon.ee, presented the possibilities of using unmanned vehicles in service development across various sectors – from agriculture to geodesy.
During the seminar:
- The need for and challenges of managing drone traffic were discussed
- The CityDOME technology, key functions, and business model were presented
- Real-world results and expansion plans were shared
- The CityDOME system was demonstrated in real-time
