At the European Green Capital Awards Ceremony on 9th of September, 2021, in Lahti, Finland - Tallinn was announced to be the European Green Capital 2023. 
Tallinn impressed the international Jury with their systemic approach to green governance and interlinked strategic goals, which reflect the ambitions of the European Green Deal. As one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tallinn is characterized by a diverse and mosaic nature of its landscapes and communities, which also serve as habitats for rare species.

 

 

What is common for the twin cities Helsinki and Tallinn? 3D city model demonstration

Tallinn has fruitful cooperation in many fields with its twin-city, Helsinki.
Digitization and data issues have become more and more topical -  the cities have co-produced a video of the 3D city models of both cities, showing the similarities of our cities.

Tallinn dashboard - collects data live and offers information on a wide range of subjects from various database (incl operational information, urban planning), traffic management tools and statistics portal.
