During the last two weekends, 21-22 and 27-29 August, a total of 2,690 people were vaccinated in 16 schools in Tallinn. Vaccinees will receive a second dose on October 2, 9 or 10 at the same school where the first dose was administered. During that time, people who want to get their first vaccination are also welcome in schools.
There were more adults than students among those vaccinated in schools, and most vaccinations were attended at Tallinna Reaalkool, Lasnamäe Gümnaasium, Läänemere Gümnaasium and Kuristiku Gümnaasium. The Pfizer / BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine is used for vaccination in schools.
Most of those who went to school to get vaccinated also took part in the prize draw. 15 iPads, dozens of cruises, gift tickets and gift cards were drawn.
In the Tallinn City Office (Vabaduse väljak 7), the vaccination point is still open today from 10 am to 8 pm. The entrance is through the door of the city government service hall. Spikevax (COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna) is used for vaccination and is provided by Confido Medical Center. Those vaccinated with Moderna Spikevax at the end of August will receive a second dose of the vaccine before the start of the active virus season - the interval between two doses of Spikevax or COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna is four weeks.
