Emergency medical care ensured in Tallinn during the holidays

Emergency medical care ensured in Tallinn during the holidays

Acute health problems can be treated even during the holidays – emergency medical care in Tallinn is guaranteed and on-call pharmacies are open.

"I hope that the holidays will be safe and healthy for everyone, but for emergencies, medical care is available also at Christmas and New Year's Eve – hospital emergency departments, ambulances and on-call pharmacies are working around the clock, as well as a dental clinic providing first aid, a family doctor hotline to answer calls and a family doctor for children," said Betina Beškina, Deputy Mayor of Tallinn for Social Affairs and Health. "However, due to the increased spread of various respiratory diseases, we recommend stocking up on non-prescription medicines from pharmacies in good time so that people with minor complaints do not have to rush to hospital emergency departments. I wish everyone a peaceful and joyful Christmas and New Year!"

Tallinn Emergency Medical Service at 112 provides round-the-clock service on all days of the week.

The emergency departments of East-Tallinn Central Hospital, West-Tallinn Central Hospital, Tallinn Children's Hospital and North-Estonian Regional Hospital, including the psychiatric emergency department, operate 24 hours a day.
