Tallinn Mayor to visit the Republic of Korea this week

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart is on an official visit to the Republic of Korea this week, where in addition to high-level meetings, he will visit Shinhan University and the Korea Creative Content Agency.

As part of the visit, Mihhail Kõlvart will meet with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Park Byeong-seung, and its former Chairman, Moon Hee-sang. He will also meet with Lee Han-gyu, Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, and Ahn Byeong-yong, Mayor of Uijeongbu city. In addition, Kõlvart’s four-day visit will include a visit to Shinhan University and the Korea Creative Content Agency, which coordinates the country's creative industries.

The Tallinn delegation will be accompanied by Aivar Riisalu, Member of Tallinn City Council and Chairman of the Innovation Committee. 

In autumn 2018, the mayors of Tallinn and Seoul signed a memorandum of agreement to extend the existing well-established cooperation between Estonia and the Republic of Korea to the capital city level. In 2019, Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart visited Seoul at the invitation of the Mayor of Seoul.
