Two vaccination centres in Tallinn open from this week

Today, on May 17, the vaccination centre of West Tallinn Central Hospital will be opened in Mustamäe Cultural Centre Kaja (E. Vilde tee 118) and tomorrow, May 18, the vaccination centre of East Tallinn Central Hospital will be opened in Tondiraba Ice Hall. All people who have booked an appointment at the digital reception are expected to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Dr Arkadi Popov, the head of the West Tallinn Central Hospital, emphasizes that only pre-registered people can get vaccinated and asks people without a booking not come queueing at the centre. "Initially, we plan to administer at least 810 vaccine doses a day at the Cultural Centre Kaja. Six vaccinators will be working at the centre simultaneously," said Popov.

The vaccination centre at Mustamäe Cultural Centre Kaja is open from Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 8 pm.

Starting tomorrow, May 18, the vaccination centre of East Tallinn Central Hospital will start in Tondiraba Ice Hall, where it is planned to make 1,200 vaccinations a by six vaccinators. The Tondiraba vaccination centre is also open Mon-Sun from 9 am to 8 pm.

Vaccination can be registered if:
• You have not had COVID-19 in the last 6 months.
• You have not been assigned self-isolation and have not been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
• You have not previously been vaccinated against COVID-19.

If you have a history of severe allergic reactions to injectable medicines and vaccines, please consult your family physician before registering for vaccination. A severe allergic reaction is a condition with difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness and/or rash that requires urgent medical attention. It is also recommended that you consult your family physician before registering for a vaccination when you are pregnant.

When booking for the vaccination, please note that each dose of vaccine is important, so be sure to arrive at the time of booking!

After vaccination, you will be asked to remain under surveillance at the vaccination center for 15 minutes.

When vaccinating with Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty, you should take into account that the second dose will be given 6 weeks later and at the same place. You cannot change the time or place later.

If you have had COVID-19 more than 6 months ago, you will be vaccinated with one dose of the vaccine. In case of illness or self-isolation, the reservation is requested to be cancelled in the digital register www.digilugu.ee.
