Admission to upper secondary school

Only persons who have completed basic education or corresponding education abroad can apply for admission to upper secondary school.

Every school has its rules and order of admission that are available on the school’s homepage.

Admission to tenth grade

All pupils who have graduated from basic school have the right to apply for the selected upper secondary school.

Should you encounter problems upon finding the suitable student place, please contact the specialists of the basic education department (curators of schools) of the Tallinn Education Department.


Information regarding all Estonian upper secondary schools is published in Estonian Education Information System (EHIS). 

The International School of Estonia is a private school that offers education for children aged from 3 to 19. Its curriculum is based on the programs of the International Baccalaureate Organization and the language of instruction is English.
