iduEDU Online Festival of Modern Learning - October 20, 2020
The world has changed. Technologies, time and needs have changed. Modern times require new teaching and learning methods. The festival iduEDU tries to sense the vibations of time and support the introduction of new technologies and teaching methods in schools, kindergartens and adult education.
During the state emergency of spring 2020, we were able to suddenly practice complete distance learning in a way that had only been a theory of the future. Whether and how it worked (or didn't work) and how to proceed, will be discussed at the iduEDU online festival by school leaders, teachers, parents, IT solution providers and education experts.
In the circumstances of the new age, we invite you to participate in the festival virtually. IduEDU is aimed primarily to school leaders, teachers, students and parents, but all educational stakeholders are most welcome. The festival programme features representatives of Tallinn University, eKool, Education and Youth Board of Estonia (HARNO), Startup Estonia, schools, kindergartens, museums, hobby schools and the winners of the Tallinn Education Board's educational innovation competition 2020.
The keynote speech of the festival describes distance learning experiences and lessons in Tallinn and Finnish schools. There will also be two engaging thematic debates: in the debate on the present, experts discuss what happened to learning and teaching in the spring of 2020; the debate on the future focuses on how to ensure effective learning in a changed situation. In workshops, Tallinn schools and kindergartens share their experiences in finding exciting innovative ways of learning.
The festival is free for all participants.
