Although all of the Tallinn Central Library’s departments and libraries (that includes the Library Bus) are closed until May 1st or for the duration of the emergency situation, some new services are provided for the readers. For example, a charged option to order books to a parcel.
Ordering books to a parcel machine is an alternative for those who cannot use e-services for some reason. The customer will pay for the service according to the Omniva price list via bank payment at the parcel machine. The price of one order is €4.58-€6.59 depending on the size of the package. Only the patrons of the Tallinn Central Library can order books via Omniva’s parcel machine service.
All available books, magazines, CDs and DVDs etc. can be ordered via filling out a form, up to 5 books per order. The form can be found HERE. To find out whether the desired item is available, please check the ESTER database.
From 13 May 2020 until the state emergency is called off Tallinn Central Library will automatically extend the due dates of lent books. Penalties for previously overdue books have been halted.
All departments will answer phone calls and e-mails from Mon-Fri between 10-18 and on Sat between 10-16, all branch libraries will do so from Tue-Fri between 10-18 and on Sat between 10-16. More info can be found here: https://keskraamatukogu.ee/en/hours-and-locations/?lang=en
