The Tallinn City Tourist Office and Convention Bureau submitted its project ‘Visit Tallinn Creators’ Camp 2018’ to the category of Best Usage of Social Media and has been named a finalist.
The City Nation Place Awards
recognises the best practices in place branding and marketing of national and local governments, regions and communities. This year, the competition attracted more than 100 entries from 16 different countries.
In August, the Tourist Office invited seven visual content creators to Tallinn for one week to create unique content about Tallinn as a tourist destination. Between Visit Tallinn’s and the creators’ own social media channels, the content has reached more than 10 million people. Read more about the Creators’ Camp.
In addition to Best Use of Social Media, other competition categories include Best Citizen Engagement, Best Communication Strategy, Best Use of Design, and Place Brand of the Year. Read more about the 2018 finalists
City Nation Place is a UK-based company that hosts top-level conferences, marketing events and consultations for place marketers focused on building a competitive identity and managing the reputation of a place. The company works with the support of academics and marketing consultants experienced in the field of place branding.
The winners will be announced at the annual City Nation Place Global conference in London on 8 November.
