The organised transport of waste takes place in the usual rhythm and according to the normal transport schedule, but due to the special situation, the amount of waste in residential areas has increased. In addition, there are more vehicles parked near apartment buildings which has, is some cases, made waste transport challenging.
Tallinn Waste Centre (Tallinna Jäätmekeskus) recommends apartment associations to order additional emptying of the waste bins or an additional container to the premises in order to avoid overfilling of waste containers. Orders can be made via e-mail to email@example.com or by phone - 616 4000. At the Tallinn Waste Centre office, Paljassaare põik 5, customers are served only by prior appointment.
Car owners are asked to park their vehicles so that garbage trucks have free access to the waste containers of apartment buildings. In the case of detached houses, the car owners should ensure free access to the container at the time agreed in the waste collecting schedule. This helps to avoid any possible misunderstandings and additional bills due to unladen journeys.
