Free rapid testing will continue after 16 January at the Covid prevention centres in Vabaduse Square and Lindakivi Cultural Centre, and four city’s Covid prevention centres will continue to offer vaccinations without prior registration.

The free rapid testing service has been available at the Vabaduse Square counselling, testing and vaccination centre since 26 December and 688 people have used the service since the beginning of the year. At the Lindakivi Cultural Centre's counselling and vaccination centre (J. Koorti 22), rapid testing is provided since 8 January and 392 rapid antigen tests have been performed so far.

The rapid testing at the Lindakivi Cultural Centre is performed during the opening hours of the vaccination centre, i.e. from 12 noon to 7 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 5 pm on weekends. The rapid testing area is separated from the Lindakivi Centre's main lobby by a partition. As of 17 January, the entrance to the rapid testing will be through the back door of the cultural centre. In the case of a positive rapid test result, people are advised to call the GP advice line 1220 for a referral for a PCR test.

Free rapid testing will also continue at the testing point on Vabaduse Square, open daily from 9 am to 9 pm. In case of a positive test result, a free PCR test will be performed on site.

Supervised self-testing is carried out with the help of a health professional, no pre-registration is necessary. The service is provided by Eldred OÜ. The result of the test will be available on the spot within 15 minutes. The rapid test does not result in a certificate or written attestation and the result of the test is not reflected in the digital record.

Rapid testing as one of the preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus is also recommended by the SARS-CoV-2 testing strategy developed by the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.

The counselling and vaccination points in Haabersti Rimi (Haabersti 1), Kristiine Centre (Endla 45), Lindakivi Cultural Centre (J. Koorti 22) are open from 12 noon to 7 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 5 pm on  weekends. The counselling, vaccination and testing point on Vabaduse Square is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm.
