The creation of Kodu Park started probably in 1932 on the initiative of the city gardener Hans Lepa. The park of the regular design is located in the district built up with small private houses in 1920−1930 which is one of the most beautiful and integral garden suburbs of Tallinn. There is a plot, belonging to the hospital for infectious diseases behind the park at the verge of the Magazini Street, which visually seems to be the peculiar pro­longation of the park thanks to its abundant tall verdure. Kodu Park was thoroughly re­novated in the begin­ning of 1960‑ies. This gree­nery has never con­tained any large capacious park buildings.
